Music

The goal of Woodlawn’s music ministry is to praise and glorify God with music that is biblical and uplifting. Our desire is that all who come here will feel God’s presence and be moved to genuine worship through music. There is a place for all ages in our music ministry, whether it is singing or playing an instrument.

The Chancel Choir (Adults):

The purpose of the Chancel Choir is to honor and glorify God in song. They lead in worship each Sunday and at other times such as revival, Christmas, and Easter.

Rehearsals: Wednesday’s @ 7:50PM

The Handbell Choir (Adults and Youth):

Ringing handbells for Jesus is fun and exciting. The bells bring a unique and inspiring element to our worship.

Children and Youth (Kindergarten through grade 12):

We have graded choirs for these ages. The goal of these choirs is to teach the joy of giving praise to God and serving Him through music. We strive to discover and develop the musical talent of young people and teach biblical principles from the music they learn.

Rehearsals: Wednesday’s @ 7:00PM

Youth and Children

Youth Ministry

Our Youth Ministry Program for students in grades 7 through 12 incorporates a lot of fun and fellowship with an emphasis on God’s Word. We use games, videos, music and conversation to achieve our purpose of learning more about God and how to live for Him. From lock-ins to lively concerts to going to the beach or a water park, we plan events that students will love and be talking about for the rest of the year! Come and check out our youth ministry program!

Sunday and Wednesday evenings at 6:00 p.m.

Children’s Ministry

Woodlawn has a place for your children. We have a children’s ministry from grades 1-6 girls and boys. They have Sunday school classes before our morning worship at 9:45 a.m. which goes according to their grade. During the service we have a children’s church which is for children grades 1-3. AWANA Clubs meet each Sunday evening from 5:30-7:00 p.m. Puggles (birth to age 2), Cubbies (ages 3 to 4), Sparks (kindergarten to grade 2) and Truth and Training (grades 3-6) meet for games and in small/large groups. Throughout the year there are fun and special events that the children can be a part of. They might range from bowling and watching a movie to going camping and an exciting trip to the lake.
